Sturgeon Bay Farm and Craft Market “Vendor of the Week”

This week’s Vendor of the Week is sure to tempt your taste buds. Kathryn Poppitz of Katarina Pastries sells pastries of all kinds, from bars and cookies to special occasion cakes, pies and even wedding cakes. She also makes specialty chocolates using only the finest Belgian chocolate.

Poppitz has been baking professionally for over 20 years, and about three years ago, decided it was time to start her own business. Professionally trained in Toronto, Ontario, she has gained vast experience and ideas in both Canada and the United States. She uses only premium, all natural ingredients, local farm eggs, and does not use preservatives, artificial colors or flavors. She also has a full line of gluten free cakes and pastries that taste amazing.

Katarina Pastries has been attending the Sturgeon Bay Saturday Morning Farm and Craft Market for three years now. She started out as a daily vendor who would arrive early in the morning to get a space and this year was offered the opportunity to become a seasonal vendor. She also sells her pastries at Manitowoc Coffee and during the winter months, you can find her at The New Leaf Market located in the Convention Center in Green Bay.

Katarina Pastries will be offering a free item with any purchase from her if you mention the “Vendor of the Week” article on Saturday, August 25.
