Since we are still in the middle of “grilling season” you may want to stop by this week’s Sturgeon Bay Farm Market Vendor of the Week, Pour Daddy’s BBQ Sauce, to get some sauce for the next time you are grilling out.
Gary Naze makes Pour Daddy’s BBQ Sauce and has been in business for about three years. Naze started coming to the market in 2010 as a daily vendor, getting in line before the sun would come up to make sure he was able to get a space in the market to sell, and he is happy to now be a seasonal vendor. When asked why he likes the Sturgeon Bay Farm and Craft Market he said there is a nice variety of products, it has a friendly hometown atmosphere and a nice mixture of local and out of town customers.
Naze processes and bottles his sauce at the Farm Market Kitchen in Algoma. He has customers from all over Wisconsin all the way to Florida, where one customer stocks up so that she can bring it home with her. This winter he hopes to create two new flavors of BBQ Sauce to add to his selection.
Naze also sells his sauce at On Broadway (Green Bay’s Wednesday Farm Market), Greens and Grains in Egg Harbor and Waseda Farms in Baileys Harbor. He also sells at other markets and festivals around the area.
Naze will be offering $1 off his 36 ounce jars of BBQ sauce as the featured vendor of the week this Saturday, September 8, 2012.
