Sturgeon Bay Girls Win Packerland Relays

The Sturgeon Bay girls track team won the Packerland Conference Relays Thursday.
The Clippers scored 118.5 points, Kewaunee placed second with 114.5 and Algoma came in third with 69.
First-place finishers for the Clippers:
3×1600-meter relay – Ashley Alberts, Morgan Reinhardt and Nalano Bicoy
3×100-meter high hurdles relay – Alyssa Brendemuehl, Alexa Nelson and Lauren Alger
3×300-meter low hurdles relay – Brendemuehl, Nelson and Alger
High jump relay – Maggie Richard, Emily Ulberg and Hailey Reichers
Long jump relay – Hannah Sternard, Kenzie Hasenjager and Kasia Klotz
Triple jump relay – Sternard, Hasenjager and Klotz
Freshman 4×100-meter relay – Avalen Olsen, McKenzie Fish, Piper Hunsader and Alexis Hemminger
Second-place finishers:
4×100-meter relay – Emily Tess, Klotz, Elena LeRoy and Alysha Nelson
Shot put relay – Loren Whitmore, Brenna Zuehlke and Delaney Shortreed.
The Sturgeon Bay Boys team earned second place behind Kewaunee. Kellen Hacht, Fletcher Hubbard and DJ Lenius teamed up to grab the Clippers on first place finish in the 3×110 High hurdle relay.
Second place finishers:
Distance medley relay – Hacht, Carson Dvorak, Evian Torres and DJ Reichel
4×100 relay – Storm Adams, Ian Johanski, CJ Fairchild, and Lenius
3×300 intermediate hurdle relay – Spencer Hubbard, Fletcher Hubbard and Lenius
Long jump relay – Hacht, Fairchild, and Fletcher Hubbard
Triple jump relay – Fairchild, Lenius, and Fletcher Hubbard
The Clippers look to defend their Door County Classic title on Monday at Gibraltar. The Clippers also participate in the Oconto Falls Invitational on Thursday and the St. Norbert College Elite Meet on Friday.
Soccer
The Sturgeon Bay girls soccer team split a pair of matches at the Koehler Tournament Saturday.
After opening the tournament with an 8-0 loss to Koehler, the Clippers responded with a 4-0 win over Green Bay West in the losers bracket final. Sophomore Miranda Olson scored two goals, and sophomore Abby Lenius and freshman Alexis Hemminger each scored a goal.
The Clipper host Green Bay East Monday at 4:30 p.m.
