Sturgeon Bay Hosts Regional Destination Imagination Tourney March 3

The BayLake Destination Imagination Regional Tournament is March 3 at the Sturgeon Bay Middle/High School. This year 41 teams are showcasing their creative talents, including teams from Gibraltar, Sevastopol, Sturgeon Bay, St. Peter’s Lutheran, Algoma, Denmark, Southern Door, St. Mary’s, Luxemburg-Casco, St. Paul’s and Pacelli. The competition starts at 8 am. There is no admission charge. A dance in the high school starts at 3 pm, with the awards to follow at 4:30 pm. The first and second place teams will advance to the Affiliate Tournament March 24 at the UW-Stevens Point campus. The top three teams qualify for the Global Finals in Knoxville, Tenn., May 23-27. In the event that the BayLake Tournament is postponed because of weather the tournament will be held March 4 and delayed one hour.
