Sturgeon Bay Library Celebrates National Library Week

National Library Week is April 9 – 15, and a few groups will celebrate the week at the Sturgeon Bay Library.

On April 11, 10 am – 1 pm, the Door County Quilters Guild will hold their bi-weekly meeting. They will display their full size quilts along the upstairs railing and will set up their morning workspace on the main floor. The quilters will be happy to answer questions from visitors and will welcome new members, both beginners as well as experienced quilters. Quilters arrive around 9 am and the railing is usually full by 10 am.

On April 13, 9:30 am – 12 pm, the Friendly Crafters will hold their regular meeting time. This is a creative group of paper crafters that meets every other Thursday at the Sturgeon Bay Library throughout the year. The group will set up a table on the main floor during National Library Week, where they will have displays set up and be ready for conversation. They will bring samples of cards they have created as well as paper, cardstock, pens, dies and equipment to share and show others what and how they’ve created their cards. This group, too, is always open to new members.

The Sturgeon Bay branch of the Door County Library is located at 107 S 4th Avenue.
