Sturgeon Bay Seeking Artists for Bench Decorating

Looking for a winter art project? The Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center invites you to create a bench – decorate, improve upon, or free-form – that will be displayed on Sturgeon Bay streets from mid-May leading up to the live auction at Harvest Festival, Saturday, Sept. 15. Benches for the 2018 Benches by the Bay project will have a straight-backed style, making for a great canvas to work with. Benches by the Bay provides artists with an opportunity to showcase artistic talent and creative capability to both the Door County community and tourists alike during the summer season. Let your creative side shine and challenge yourself to create breathtaking street art. Applications are available at sturgeonbay.net/gallery/benches-by-the-bay.
