Sturgeon Bay Soccer One Step from State

The Sturgeon Bay boys soccer team advanced to the sectional championship with a 8-2 win over Lourdes Academy/Valley Christian Thursday.

Sturgeon Bay faces Oostburg for the sectional title and a state tournament berth in Kohler Saturday at 1 p.m. Oostburg, 21-0-1, advanced with a 4-1 win over Kohler Thursday.

Carson Dvorak, Owen Stevenson and Ben Luders each scored a pair of goals for the Clippers. Spencer Hubbard and Eli Dietzel each scored a goal.
