Sturgeon Bay Spikers Down Gibraltar in Five

Thursday’s Packerland Conference varsity volleyball match in Fish Creek went the distance when Sturgeon Bay defeated Gibraltar in five sets, 22-25,25-17, 25-19, 22-25, 15-9.

Statistical leaders for the Clippers included Nita Zukauskaite and Scarlet Serafico: 7 kills apiece; Chloe Maccaux: 24 digs; Mallory Barker: 22 assists; Milan Eliyha, 19 assists; and Stevie Routhieaux: 6 aces.

The Vikings were led by Chloe Alexander: 46 assists; Ellie Scherer: 21 kills, 17 digs; and Rae Jungwirth: 16 kills, 12 digs.

Southern Door 3, Kewaunee 0

Southern Door swept Kewaunee on Thursday to win its conference volleyball match, 25-21, 25-21, 25-19.

The Eagles’ statistical leaders included Kendra Shimon: 11 kills; Paige Olson: 10 kills;Greta Gutschow: 16 digs; Bella Price: 14 digs; and Alaina Shimon: 31 assists.
