Sturgeon Bay Students Earn Art Honors

Sturgeon Bay students Jace Johnson and Adolfo Arvizo have moved on to state-level competition in the Wisconsin Art Education Association’s (WAEA) State Art Show. Arvizo also received special recognition for his portrait in charcoal.

A piece by junior Makayla Ash was chosen as the 2021 WAEA State Chair Award winner and earned the Wisconsin Pastel Artists’ award for her work “Billie,” which was entered in the 2021 Scholastic Art Awards: Wisconsin Exhibition. A donor has honored her artistic talents with a $100 gift certificate for Jack Richardson Art Company.
