Sturgeon Bay “Then and Now”

Baylake Bank Premier Club and the YMCA of Door County is sponsoring an informational slide show on Sturgeon Bay entitled, “Then & Now.” The showing will be held at the Sturgeon Bay YMCA on Wednesday, October 6 from 9:45 – 10:45 am.

Ann Jinkins, Assistant Curator at the Door County Historical Museum, will be the guest speaker. She has worked with the museum’s photographic collection for over 23 years and has co-authored a book of Sturgeon Bay photographs.

Jinkins will present a slide show of Sturgeon Bay historical photographs shown along with corresponding modern views of the photographs’ subjects. The images span from the digging of the canal to the Swedish ship that hit the Michigan Street Bridge in 1960.
