Sturgeon Bay Utilities Earns National Recognition

Sturgeon Bay Utilities (SBU, sbunet.com) has earned national recognition from the American Public Power Association (APPA) for exceptional electric reliability in 2020. 

APPA – a trade group that represents more than 2,000 not-for-profit, community-owned electric utilities – helps electric utilities track power-outage and restoration data, and it compares these data annually to national statistics that the U.S. Energy Information Administration tracks.
Jim Stawicki, SBU’s general manager, said the staff is proud to have received the recognition and that it’s a “testament to the hard work of all our staff to ensure that we keep Sturgeon Bay powered.”
