Sturgeon Bay’s Glas Coffee Kicks Off “Saturday Afternoon Delight”

The “Saturday Afternoon Delight” concert series will begin at Glas, the green coffeehouse, on Nov. 20 following the Sturgeon Bay Holiday Parade. The series will showcase local musical talents from 1 – 3 pm on the third Saturday of each month from Nov. to April.

“Saturday Afternoon Delight” is exactly what the name implies – an afternoon treat of music from some favorite area musicians,” said Angela Jonas, manager of Glas. “With the great line-up we have scheduled, it will be a nice time to relax with family and friends and enjoy the music before we are once again in the midst of hectic summer months.”

The first show on Nov. 20 will feature The Bienemanns. Jenny and Robin Bienemann will showcase Jenny’s hip guitar riffs, vocal overlays, and idiosyncratic pacing, and Robin’s skillful guitar playing and classic 30’s style voice. With edgy, sharp-witted yet surprisingly sweet original songs, the duo is animated and endearing. For more information about The Bienemann’s visit http://www.jennybienemann.com.

Also, Midweek Open Mic at Glas will continue to take place each Wednesday with hosts Josh Gregory on the piano and Elliot Goettelman on the guitar. The show will run from 7 – 10 pm through the end of Nov.

Glas is located at 67 East Maple Street in Sturgeon Bay. For more information call 920.743.5575 or visit http://www.glascoffee.com.
