Sturgeon Bay’s Maritime Week Features Family Maritime Parade

The Family Centers of Door County in partnership with The Door County Maritime Museum and Thrivent Financial are sponsoring a Family Maritime Parade as part of the Sturgeon Bay Maritime Week.

On July 31, assembling of parade entries begins at 4:30 pm at the Sawyer Park pavilion on Neenah Street. The parade begins at 5:30 pm and travels one block up Neenah Street, right onto Oak Street, right on Madison Street and finishes at the museum.

Groups, families and children interested in being part of this parade can create a float; decorate a boat, bike and/or wagon; or just walk.

Decoration or costume ideas may be anything nautical, pirate, sailor or fish related. There is no cost to enter the parade, but one adult chaperone per group, family, or child is required.
