Sturgeon Bay’s TAP Hots Auditions for Kids Theater Camp

For Kids By Kids Theater Day Camp at Sturgeon Bay’s Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) will host auditions for their production of Arrivederci Verona.

Children ages 9 to 14 are eligible to audition for the camp at one of two sessions, taking place Monday, June 6 and Tuesday, June 7 from 6 – 8 pm at TAP. No advance preparation is necessary. Students will be asked to read from copies of the script. Bill Bauernfeind will direct the camp; he also wrote the script for this year’s production.

The four-week theater workshop will run Monday through Friday, 10 am to 2 pm, beginning Monday, June 13. Workshop participants will be involved in all aspects of production including stage management, lighting and sound, set design and props. Tuition for the For Kids By Kids Theater Day Camp is $25.

The camp will culminate with a full stage production of the comedy Arrivederci Verona. Performances will be held July 7 –10, Thursday through Saturday at 7 pm and Sunday at 2 pm.

Similar to last year, campers will have the opportunity to perform at the Door County Renaissance Faire.

Support for the 2011 camp program is provided by Bill and Karen McClelland, Baylake Bank and M&I Bank. For more information call 920.743.1760.
