Submit to the DISQUIET Literary Prize

Submissions are now open for the DISQUIET Literary Prize: a contest for fiction, nonfiction and poetry by writers who have not yet published more than one book with a major press.

The first-prize winner in fiction will be published on Granta.com, in nonfiction on Ninthletter.com and in poetry on The Common. One grand-prize winner will receive a full scholarship – including tuition, lodging and a $1,000 travel stipend – to a program in Lisbon June 25-July 7, 2023. Genre winners will receive a tuition waiver in addition to publication. Winners who are unable to attend the program in Lisbon may elect to receive a $1,000 cash prize in place of the tuition waiver.
