Submit Works to Miller’s 46th ‘Juried Annual’ Exhibition

The Miller Art Museum is accepting submissions to its 46th Juried Annual exhibition of contemporary work, and this year marks a new direction: It’s broadening its scope from a six-county radius to all 72 counties in the state.

“By broadening the reach of eligibility, we’re inviting new visual artists to the northeast Wisconsin region specifically and encouraging diversity in the competition, while also bringing awareness statewide to the talent of the tremendous creative community that is Door County,” said Helen del Guidice, curator of exhibitions and collections.

To be eligible, artists must be older than 18 and live or work in Wisconsin. Artists at all career levels who work in a range of media and artistic practices, from traditional to abstract, are welcome to submit works.

Cash awards will be presented during the Sept. 25 opening reception at the museum, 107 S. 4th Ave. in Sturgeon Bay: three Special Merit Awards ($250 each), three Juror’s Choice Awards ($200 each), the Gerhard Miller Award of Excellence ($500), and the Bonnie Hartmann Award for Outstanding Creativity ($100).

Review submission details, register and submit work through the ArtCall.org platform at millerartmuseum.org through Aug. 16, 5 pm. Artists may enter up to two original works for a $30 nonrefundable entry fee.
