Summer Book Sales Begin in Sturgeon Bay

The Friends of Door County Libraries launches its Summer Book Sale series on June 10. Sales will continue each Saturday through July 1 and will run from 9 am to noon in the Mel Madel Friends room at the Sturgeon Bay Library, 107 S. 4th Ave.

Timed to coincide with the popular Farm and Craft Market held just across the street, the sales offer an opportunity to browse thousands of moderately priced books in a broad range of genres. (Most hard-covers are priced at a dollar.) Whether you’re in need of a bit of beach reading or a cookbook to find a recipe for that kale or kohlrabi from the farmers market, the Friends book sale is a can’t-miss opportunity for great reading at a bargain price.

Proceeds from the used book sales enable the Friends organization to fund an array of programs, materials and activities that benefit children and adults at all eight Door County libraries.
