Sun Seekers Adventure Program Up and Running

A visit to The Farm was part of Animal Week during the Sunshine House’s Sun Seekers Program. Submitted.

Sun Seekers Adventure Program is up and running. Liz Junion, an employee of Sunshine House Inc., started the program June 11, and it runs through Aug. 24. There’s still time to sign up.

The staff-to-participant ratio allows for plenty of interaction time and flexibility with scheduling. Participants are getting outside every day, enjoying the many attractions in the area. In the first two weeks of the program, clients visited the Sturgeon Bay Library, Door County Museum, Otumba Park, Cherry Hills Golf Course, Plum Loco Farm and The Farm; as well as two trips to Green Bay where they visited the Children’s Museum and the Neville Museum.

When not venturing out, participants have enjoyed leisure activities in-house. Participants also learn some new skills such as laundry and washing dishes in the weeks ahead. Sign up for a week, multiple weeks or certain days during the week for a fun summer learning opportunity. For more information contact Mike Rabas at 920.743.7943 or by email at [email protected].
