“Sunday in the Park with George” Debuts at Pen Players

Sunday in the Park with George, a Pulitzer Prize winning musical began July 24 at Peninsula Players Theatre. Sunday in the Park with George has a three-week run with performances through August 11.

Sunday in the Park with George is the inspiring journey that follows the joy and heartbreak of an artist committed to realizing his vision. This musical was inspired by Georges Seurat’s masterpiece “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte” that now resides in the Art Institute of Chicago.

The cast includes: Cassie Slater, Sean Fortunato, McKinley Carter, Linda Fortunato, Neil Friedman, Erin Noel Grennan, James Rank, Peggy Roeder, Paul Slade Smith, Naama Friedman, Amanda Hartley and Rachel Klippel.

The Peninsula Players perform Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 7:30 pm, with a 4 pm matinee on August 11. Discount tickets are available for season ticket holders and groups. Individual ticket prices range from $37 to $43. For tickets call 920.868.3287 or visit peninsulaplayers.com.
