Sunflower Cottage is Set to Open This Fall

Sunflower Cottage Life Enrichment Program, a service of Sunshine House Inc., is preparing to open doors for business this fall. As announced in April, Sunshine House Inc. has decided to take a service that they are already providing – adult day care – and expand that beyond those with developmental disabilities to include those with Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s, arthritis, stroke-related memory loss, cognitive impairment, the medically frail and seniors in general who are looking for a community to belong to.

Although the Sunflower Cottage Life Enrichment Program is housed under the same roof as Sunshine House, the two programs are very different and the space will be completely separate from the current program, including a separate entrance, kitchen, bathroom and activity center.

Upon completion of Phase 1 remodeling in September, Sunflower Cottage will open its doors for adult day care. They are now beginning to accept applications for both participants and employees. For more information visit SunflowerCottage.org.
