Sunken Boat Recovered in Fish Creek

An 18-foot sailboat was recovered from the bottom of the Fish Creek marina on Monday morning, shortly after it sank to the bottom of the mooring area.

“We don’t really know what the reason was, we didn’t get any of the details when they came to pull it out,” dockmaster Brian Holan said.

Yacht Works recovered the boat and at press time had not found what caused it to sink.

The boat was non-motorized, so no fuel spilled. Holan said it had been three years since a boat sank in the harbor.
