Sunrise School Ambassadors Create Soup Jars for Strong Kids Campaign

Fourteen third, fourth and fifth grade students, named the “Sunrise School Ambassadors,” selected the YMCA as their volunteer opportunity of the month. In honor of this year’s campaign theme, “Building for Tomorrow,” the ambassadors created 150 jars of Build-Your-Own Strong Kids Soup to be sold at the YMCA’s soup cook-off on March 20.

The Strong Kids Campaign allows the opportunity for everyone (seniors, single parent families, children, individuals with special needs, cancer and Parkinson’s syndrome patients and families of all ages) to use the YMCA facility regardless of his or her ability to pay.
