Celebrate Super Bowl weekend and Fish Creek’s Winter Festival by watching potter Tony Gebauer throw bowls on his potter’s wheel. The gallery will be open 10 am – 2 pm on Feb. 2 and 10 am – 4 pm on Feb. 3. Gebauer will create super large bowls on Friday from 12-1 pm and will demonstrate bowl making all day Saturday. This weekend visitors to TR Pottery will also have the opportunity to purchase soup mugs in Gebauer’s new matte blue-green glaze.
“Cold weather naturally brings my thoughts to warm, hearty one-bowl meals: soups, stews, casseroles and whatnot. I have been working on formulating some new glazes. It seemed fitting to make special soup mugs for this weekend,” said Gebauer.
In addition to soup mugs, TR Pottery sells a wide variety of other functional shapes: bowls, mugs, cups, vases, wine chillers, candle pillars, spoon rests and more.
TR Pottery is a working studio located on Highway 42 in Fish Creek next to The Cookery Restaurant.
