Susan Murtaugh Lights Up The Flying Pig of Door County

My Old Flame, on exhibit in The Flying Pig Back Gallery from July 2 – 31, will showcase Susan Murtaugh’s mixed media creations.

Murtaugh, a graduate of the Chicago Academy of Fine Art, worked over 35 years in advertising. Since 2009 her preferred medium has been digital. She draws, paints and expresses herself on her iPod Touch and her iPad.

She has been featured in several group shows, online galleries, workshops and local and national newspapers. Her work and tutorials have also been published in Digital Artist Magazine, Mac Format and American Artist Magazines. She acted as curator for two major Mobile Digital shows and is looking forward to announcing another.

There will be an artist reception from 1 – 4 pm on July 9. The Back Gallery Series will continue in August with the hand carved wood block prints of Alfred Stark.

Murtaugh will also be at The Flying Pig on July 16 (rain date July 17) from 11 am – 4 pm for the second annual Digital and Traditional Plein Air Paintout.
