Suzanne Rose Displays Fine-Art Photos in Milwaukee

The Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA) is presenting its upcoming exhibition, Suzanne Rose – Blind Spot: to pass among them, Dec. 4 – Feb. 20, at its Milwaukee satellite location. Register for the free exhibition party Dec. 9, 5-7 pm, to be held at MOWA | DTN, by visiting wisconsinart.org.

Blind Spot features 30-plus black-and-white photographs of trees and their surroundings that capture the damaging impact humans have on their environment, as well as the quiet resiliency of nature to adapt and reclaim. Each photograph is titled with GPS coordinates of the subject’s exact location.

Rose, based in northeast Wisconsin, studied painting at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago and created a design partnership that ultimately transitioned into a solo pursuit of fine-art photography.
