Swedish American Children’s Choir Performs in Door County

The Swedish American Children’s Choir of St. Charles, Illinois will tour Door County from June 25 to 28, performing in three locations. On Saturday, June 26 they will perform in Olde Ellison Bay Days Parade and at the Ellison Bay Community Park. On Sunday, June 27 they will perform at Founders Square in Fish Creek at 1:15 pm and on Monday, June 28 they will perform at Scandia Village in Sister Bay at 10:30 am.

The choir, under the artistic direction of Marguerite Karl with accompanist Shirley Fox, is the largest Swedish choir for children in the Midwest. The choir, with singers age 4 to 17, presents a program of songs in Swedish and English as well as Scandinavian folk dances.

Their reputation for performance excellence has led them to such notable venues as Mall of America, The Westin Hotel, and American Girl Place. They are annual performers for Svenskarnas Dag in Geneva and Main Stage performers for Swedish Days in Geneva, Illinois.
