Swedish Fiddlers

On Aug. 5 at 7 pm, the Vikarbyns Lilla Spelmanslag will perform at Hope Church in Sturgeon Bay. The Vikarbyns Lilla Spelmanslag is a group of young fiddlers ranging in age from 17 – 23 years that play traditional folk music from the Dalarna region of Sweden.

The students have all studied at the music school in Rنttvik, Sweden. The group performs in traditional costume and gives many concerts throughout the year in Sweden. They have also travelled extensively outside of Scandinavia, and play a variety of folk music, including Irish and American tunes. The concert is free and open to the public. Hope Church is located at 141 S. 12th Ave. in Sturgeon Bay.
