Taco Bell Owners Seek Ideas for Sturgeon Bay Building

The new owners of the old Taco Bell building in Sturgeon Bay are seeking ideas for the long-empty building.

Bob and Terri Esposito, along with their two sons and wives (owner/operators of Culver’s in Sturgeon Bay) recently purchased the building on Egg Harbor Road. Terri Esposito said “It was funny – We were in Sturgeon Bay looking at an old car and left with an old Taco Bell. Seriously — who does that?”

“We are very excited at the possibilities and we would love to continue hearing from the community as to their ideas and thoughts because that’s what makes Door County so special,” Terri said. “We’ll keep everyone updated as decisions are made and we look forward to seeing everyone at the NEW (fill in the blank) instead of the OLD Taco Bell.”

Bob and Terri, originally from Chicago, have been coming to Door County for over 45 years and have owned a home in Jacksonport for more than 20 years. Sons Tony and wife Sara have been Door County residents for the past 8 years and Rob and his wife Suzie just bought a condo in Sturgeon Bay. The family has been involved in the food service business in some way for over 27 years and have owned and operated Culver’s Restaurants in Chicagoland for 10 years. The family acquired the Sturgeon Bay Culver’s in 2012 from the Struck family.
