Take a Bluebird Monitoring Hike

Join volunteer naturalists Marilyn Hansotia and Bob Judd along the Monarch Trail during weekly bluebird monitoring hikes at Newport State Park. These hikes continue every Wednesday at 10 am, from June 4 through late July. Hikers can take a close look at this once endangered species, along with other cavity-nesting birds making their homes here. Hikers are advised to wear sturdy footwear for the 1.5-mile hike, and to meet at the Newport State Park Visitors Center.
