Take the Spring Invasive Species Challenge

Help stop the spread of garlic mustard and save your favorite Door County wildflowers by removing garlic mustard from your property. Take the 2016 Spring Invasive Species Challenge – Garlic Mustard, May 1 – 31. This challenge is sponsored by the Town of Gibraltar and the Door County Invasive Species Team.

Register for the challenge by emailing your name and address to [email protected] with Invasive Species in the subject line, then remove garlic mustard from your own property, bag it marked Invasive Species and landfill it. If you send the Town of Gibraltar before and after photos of the garlic removal and an estimate of the time it took you to remove it, you will be eligible to win a massage, awarded by Judith – Massage Therapy.

Need help identifying garlic mustard? Call the Town of Gibraltar at 920.868.1714 to set up a one-on-one visit with the Door County Invasive Species Team Coordinator on May 12 and 13 or attend a brief demonstration hosted by the Invasive Species Team on May 7, 3 – 3:30 pm, at Sunset Beach Park in Fish Creek.
