‘Tales of Our Lives’ Story Slam June 9

Dorothy Scott will provide music to complement the storytellers’ tales at ”Tales of Our Lives.”

The outrageous, heartfelt and hilarious Tales of Our Lives show will open the Peg Egan Performing Arts Center’s (PAC) Sunset Concert Series on June 9, 7 pm. The Women’s Fund of Door County is teaming up with the center to present a special encore performance of Story Slam.

Based on a poetry-slam format, a story slam is a contest of words by known and undiscovered talent exploring the art of storytelling. It encourages storytellers to focus on what they say and how they say it. The story slammers will be Tonya and Mike Fehofer, Brit Gartner, Randy Morrow, Ryan Hiese, Holly Feldman, Annie Williams and Gay Pustaver. Dorothy Scott and Jess Holland will provide music.

All of the series’ events are free and open to the public at the Peg Egan PAC, on Church Street in Egg Harbor. In case of rain, they move inside to the Calvary Methodist Church, 4850 Country Road E in Egg Harbor.
