TAP Announces Best Christmas Pageant Ever Auditions

Auditions for Third Avenue Playhouse’s December production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever will be held on Monday and Tuesday, October 12 and 13, at 6:30 pm

First written as a short story for McCall’s Magazine, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever has become a holiday classic. Barbara Robinson’s hilarious Christmas tale follows the struggles of a couple trying to put on a church Christmas pageant and faced with casting the most inventively awful kids in history. Directed by Bill Bauernfeind, the play is a presentation of For Kids By Kids, TAP’s children’s theatre arts project.

Parts are available for four men, six women, eight boys and nine girls. Actors will be asked to read from the script, with copies being available at the theater. Auditions are open to everyone, and experience is not necessary. Rehearsals for the show will begin in late October, with performances scheduled for Thursday through Saturday, December 3 – 5 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, December 6 at 2 pm.
