TAP Features the Hagen Family

The Hagen Family brings their legendary tradition of music back to the Third Avenue Playhouse for one performance on Saturday, August 28 at 7:30 pm.

Often referred to as Door County’s version of the Von Trapps, the family members learned to sing and play from their father, Jack. Veteran musician Julian Hagen is the most visible and public performer of the clan, but is happiest when sharing the stage with members of his family. Hagen’s wife and daughters now also perform alongside the Hagen sisters Leila and Linda and their families, frequently joined by some of their musical friends.

A fifth generation Washington Islander, Julian Hagen has penned over 60 songs and has recorded with both family members and fellow musicians. His new CD How Things Change was released earlier this summer.

Tickets for the Hagen Family Summer Concert are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students, and $8 for children. Tickets are on sale at the theater box office located at 239 N. Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay. The box office is open from 10 am – 3 pm, Monday through Friday, and one hour prior to performances. Tickets are also available at Dancing Bear, 13 N. Third Avenue, Java on Jefferson, Corner of Fifth & Jefferson, and online at For more information call 920.743.1760.
