TAP Features The Talk of the Town

The Talk of The Town, under the leadership of Kevin Van Ess, is one of the hottest Dixieland/Swing Style Jazz Groups north of New Orleans. The group, featuring clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, banjo, bass, piano, and drums makes a return appearance at Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) on May 22 at 7:30 pm.

Before coming together as a band, the members performed individually throughout the world. Bandleader, clarinet and saxophonist Kevin Van Ess has performed with a number of artists including Bob Hope, Shari Lewis, Rich Little, and Marie Osmond.

The Talk of The Town performs all styles of music with an emphasis on the great jazz standards with special salutes to Pete Fountain, Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, and many more.

Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students and $8 for children under 12. Tickets are on sale at the theater box office, 239 N. Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, 920.743.1760. The box office is open Monday through Friday, 10 am – 3 pm, and one hour prior to performances. Tickets are also available at Dancing Bear, 13 N.
