TAP Receives Grant, Plans to Light Up the Marquee

Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP, thirdavenueplayhouse.com) has received a second grant in the amount of $7,500 from the Capacity Building Initiative of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation to support the strategic-planning work that TAP’s board and staff started last year.

During the past two years, TAP has experienced tremendous growth in the size of its audiences, staff, board, and donor and sponsorship support. When the pandemic forced the theater to shut down in 2020, TAP seized the opportunity to engage in a $2.4 million building-renovation project and completed Phase 1 of the strategic-planning project last winter. Phase 2 and 3 are nearing completion. Phase 4 – implementation planning – is critical in enabling TAP to deliver on the strategic plan.

TAP has planned a ceremony to Light up the Marquee on July 10, 8 pm, during Sturgeon Bay’s Under the Stars night market.
