TAP Seeks Two Male Actors for “Tuesdays With Morrie”

Third Avenue Playhouse will be hold auditions for Tuesdays With Morrie on Monday and Tuesday, July 26 and 27 from 5 – 7 pm at Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay.

Adapted for the stage by Mitch Albom and Jeffrey Hatcher, Tuesdays With Morrie tells the remarkable, true story of Albom, an accomplished sports journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. The heartwarming play is the perfect blend of comedy, drama, and poignancy.

“While the play deals with death and dying, its focus is more on learning how to live and, as such, audiences find it inspiring and uplifting,” noted director Arthur Hopper.

Roles are available for two men: a man in his late 30s to early 40s to play Mitch and a man in his early to mid-70s to play Morrie.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. No other preparation is necessary. Production dates are October 7 – 10 and 14 – 17, 2010.
