TAP Starts Rehearsals for StageKids Festival

Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) has begun rehearsals for the upcoming StageKids One Act Play Festival. This performance will contain selections from Sure Thing by David Ives, Adaptation by Elaine May, Hello Out There by William Saroyan, and The Fifteen Minute Hamlet by Tom Stoppard.

StageKids productions (directed by members of TAP’s professional company) provide performance opportunities to students and adults from the entire county. In 2014, the StageKids production of the powerful play columbinus was given extensive coverage in print and broadcast media, garnered rave reviews, and became a true community event.

The festival takes place on April 28, 29, and 30 with evening performances on the 28 and 29 at 7:30pm. Matinee performances will be on 29 and 30 at 2pm.

General admission is $15 and students (to age 18) are free. The festival is recommended for ages 14 and up.

TAP is also offering the opportunity to ask any questions about the creative process behind the production of True West. TAP’s Co-artistic Director Robert Boles hosts talkbacks with the cast and crew immediately after the Sunday matinee performances on April 2 and 9.
