Third Avenue PlayWorks (TAP) is collaborating with Lakeshore CAP in conjunction with its production of Slow Food, May 8 – June 5. TAP will offer a pay-what-you-will preview performance May 8, 2 pm, when patrons are encouraged to make donations to Lakeshore CAP: a community action program dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve economic self-sufficiency and well-being through results-based programming in Manitowoc, Door, Sheboygan and Kewaunee counties.
“When you are hungry, little else matters,” said Jacob Janssen, TAP’s artistic director. “Slow Food is about a vacationing couple who are desperately trying to get something to eat. While their frustration is due to a neglectful, albeit comical waiter and not some of the more serious circumstances many people face, the idea that everything changes when you’re hungry remains true.”
After a final preview performance May 11, 7:30 pm, the show will officially open with a special celebratory event May 12, 7:30 pm.
Ticket information and details regarding talkbacks and additional programming are available at ThirdAvenuePlayWorks.org or by calling 920.743.1760.
