TAP to Premiere Door County Stories on May 14

Third Avenue PlayWorks (TAP) is launching a series, Door County Stories, to profile Door County residents telling their own personal stories. The series’ curators and hosts will be Robert Boles and James Valcq, TAP’s co-artistic directors; Stephanie Trenchard, co-owner of Popelka Trenchard Glass Fine Art Gallery; and Alex Genty-Waksberg, a former TAP staff member who’s pursuing a graduate degree in social work at Columbia University.

The series will premiere May 14, 7 pm, on TAP’s Facebook page with Trenchard interviewing Ram Rojas, a painter, muralist and resident of Baileys Harbor who was born in Venezuela. Future episodes will feature Helen del Guidice, curator of the Miller Art Museum; Jerod Santek, artistic director of Write On, Door County; Cathy Grier, a musician and founder of Open Door Pride; Peter Ciesla, an artist and owner of Bazyli Studio Wearable Art Gallery; and others to be announced.

Ram Rojas, a painter, muralist and Baileys Harbor resident, is one of the interviews featured in Door County Stories.

TAP welcomes suggestions about people to include in Door County Stories. To suggest someone as an interview subject, email [email protected] and share why you’d like to see the individual profiled. The only rule is that interviewees must be full-time Door County residents.
