Taste of Egg Harbor Celebration on Aug. 24

The Egg Harbor Historical Association is bringing history to life Aug. 24 during the third annual Taste of Egg Harbor celebration.

The celebration drew more than 500 people to the grounds in 2011 and this year’s event promises to be even bigger with live music from the Oak Street Boys, food from local restaurants, and a farmers market featuring local produce.

Taste of Egg Harbor takes place from 11 am – 5 pm at Horseshoe Bay Farms, located on Highway G in Egg Harbor. Of course, tours of the famous barns of what was once the largest dairy farm in the state of Wisconsin will be offered as well. In addition to tours of the barns, visitors will get to check out an antique tractor display and historic videos of the farm.

Jessica Michna will provide portrayals of Abigail Adams and Cordelia Harvey in the barn. Jessica has been honored to perform at such notable venues as the Lincoln Boyhood Home, The Churchill Memorial Chapel, the National Railroad Museum and the Wisconsin State Historical Museum.
