Teapots, Mosaics and Mixed Media

Painting by Donna Sniadanko.

Off the Wheel Pottery will host an opening reception for a new show on June 28 from 5 – 8 pm. Mosaics by Cynthia Board, mixed media and whimsical paintings by Donna Sniadanko, and teapots by Renee’ Schwaller will be featured.

Board, of Egg Harbor, fell in love with the process of mosaics and the beauty of glass after taking a workshop. She has pursued that artistic adventure ever since. She is currently working on a 16-foot collaborative mosaic piece with three other artists. This mosaic will hang on the outside of the Peg Eagan Music Center in Egg Harbor.

Sniadanko moved to Fish Creek years ago and was floral designer and owner of Queen’s Walk, a store in Egg Harbor specializing in home accessories. Although she studied interior design and photography in college, her real passion was painting. In 2005 she immersed herself in mixed media and acrylic and has painted ever since.

Schwaller is the resident potter and owner of Off the Wheel Pottery and chose to focus on teapots for this show. She is one of the facilitators for the Peninsula Art School’s Community Clay Program in the off-season. Some of the Community Clay Program participants will display their teapots in the show as well.

The show will run through August 28. Off the Wheel Pottery is located at 4234 County Road E, 1.3 miles east of Egg Harbor. For more information visit http://www.offthewheelpottery.com.
