Teen Night at the UUF

The teens of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County (UUFDC) announced a new Wednesday night coffeehouse gathering called “U-Night.” The event launched on June 16, and will continue June 30, July 21, July 28, and August 18.

The gathering, sponsored by UUFDC, will initially meet five summer Wednesdays for an open mic night. Any teen aged 12 to 18 is welcome to attend and share songs, poetry, art, dance, or any kind of creative piece that expresses their feelings, thoughts, or spiritual beliefs. Or they may attend simply to listen and visit.

Popular musician Katie Dahl will host and facilitate the summer meetings, and participate in the entertainment as well. There will be topics for every meeting and discussions on those topics, though no specific belief will be promoted.

The “U-Nights” Coffeehouse blends with the philosophy of the UUFDC, represents a liberal religious presence in Door County, welcoming and encouraging a wide range of theological and secular beliefs and orientations.

The UU Fellowship is located at 10341 Highway 42, Ephraim. For more information call 920.854.7559 or visit http://www.uufdc.org.
