Tessoro Jewelry Trunk Show at Edgewood Orchard

Earrings from Tessoro Jewelry

Edgewood Orchard Galleries will host a jewelry trunk show for jeweler Deborah Bushinski and her Tessoro jewelry collection from Oct. 11 – 14, 10 am – 5 pm. Bushinski’s sought-after designs feature salvaged birch bark, reclaimed copper and semi-precious stones. Champagne punch and hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the weekend, and the public is welcome to attend.

Having shown her work at Edgewood Orchard Galleries for several seasons, jewelry designer and creator Bushinski explained the process she uses to create her beautiful pieces. “Working with a small family owned wood products company in Duluth, Minnesota we are able to access standing dead trees that are marked for cutting; we harvest the bark from these trees, reducing air pollution, as this bark would ultimately be burned at the mills. The bark is carefully selected for interesting surface features, such as the lichens on the bark that provide the color and texture to many of our designs.”

In addition to the jewelry trunk show, Edgewood’s “Gifts from the Heart” exhibit continues with a large selection of new artwork. The gallery and surrounding sculpture garden are open daily from 10 am until 5 pm until the gallery closes for the 2013 season on November 3.
