Thanksgiving Nature Walk and Chickadee Campfire at Pen Park

Head over to the Peninsula State Park Nature Center on Nov. 23 from 1 – 2 pm for “Let’s Talk Turkey.” This family program features gobbler facts and songs as well as crafts to create for Thanksgiving tables. Young participants will receive real turkey feathers, too, while supplies last.

There will also be a Thanksgiving Nature Walk on Nov. 29 from 10 – 11 am. Walkers should meet at Park Headquarters.

On Nov. 30 from 1 – 2 pm, the Nature Center will be the site of a Chickadee Campfire. There will be a Chickadee poetry slam, snacks and facts – plus an art lesson on drawing this friendly feathered friend – all around a cozy campfire. Try feeding chickadees by hand, too.

These programs are free and open to the public but a state park vehicle sticker is required. Donations are appreciated for crafts and campfire snacks. For more information, call 920.868.3258 or email [email protected].
