Thanksgiving Day Parade

Nov. 24, 10:30 am
Lakeside Park, off Hwy 57, Jacksonport

The small parade with the big cause will roll through Jacksonport on Thanksgiving at 10:30 am. During this year’s parade, donations will be collected for Jacksonport resident Alice Mattson, a 9-year-old girl with autism who is undergoing treatments for acute lymphocytic leukemia.

Egg Harbor Holly Days

Nov. 25-26, 10 am
Downtown Egg Harbor

Celebrate Christmas the old-fashioned way by riding in a horse-drawn wagon, listening to carolers, enjoying hot chocolate and watching the tree lighting. Kids can make holiday crafts, meet Santa and decorate cookies. Work off some Thanksgiving calories at the One Barrel 2.62 run on Saturday morning.

One Barrel Run

Chase the penguin down White Cliff Road in Egg Harbor during the third One Barrel 2.62-mile “marathon.” Get a long-sleeved race shirt; compete for prizes for top finishers and the best running costume; and head back to the One Barrel taproom to get your free glass and beer (or hot cocoa)!

Christkindlmarkt

Nov. 25-27, Dec. 2-4 and Dec. 9-11. The hours for the first and second weekends are Friday and Saturday, 11 am – 7 pm, and Sunday, 11 am – 3 pm. The hours shift for the third weekend to Friday and Saturday, 11 am – 6 pm, and Sunday, 11 am – 3 pm.

Corner of the Past, 10310 Fieldcrest Road in Sister Bay

Step into a European-style Christmas market right here in Door County on the grounds of Corner of the Past in Sister Bay. The Sister Bay Historical Society hosts 40 local artisans selling specialty food, drinks, crafts, art and gifts in the tent, huts and barns – with festive music and Santa on-site as well. The three-weekend event kicks off Nov. 25. See the special insert in this issue for more details.

Capture the Spirit

Nov. 25, 3:30-5:30 pm, and Nov. 26, 10 am – 4 pm
Waterfront Park, 10693 N. Bay Shore Dr. (Hwy 42) in Sister Bay

Santa rolls into Sister Bay on Friday, Nov. 25, at 5 pm to turn on the village’s light display. The big guy will stick around for storytime at the Sister Bay Library after the lighting, and his elves and reindeer will be on hand 3:30-5:30 pm near the official village Christmas tree on the corner of Mill Road and Bay Shore Drive.
