The “Art of Music” Presents Adam Mackintosh and Anna Sacks

On Friday, September 5, at 7:30 pm, the Door County Outpost gallery and cafe will feature singer/songwriters Adam Mackintosh and Anna Sacks.

Adam Mackintosh is a unique songwriter. As the former lead musician in the Portland, Oregon act Gruesome Galore (6 European Tours) Adam learned longevity and excelled as a songwriter. A participant three years running at Steel Bridge Songfest with some of the nation’s best writers, Adam has shared stages and recordings with Jackson Browne, pat mAcdonald (Timbuk 3), Clyde Stubblefield (James Brown’s "Funky Drummer"), James Hall of The Pleasure Club, Eric McFadden of Parliament Funkadelic and a multitude of highly talented industry professionals. Adam has performed at over 300 concerts in the US and Europe to crowds ranging from ten to 5,000. His style of music has been compared to many of the greats – Harry Nillsson, David Bowie, John Lennon, Radiohead, George Harrison, and Jellyfish. Fans have gone so far as to say that his sound is, "a mixture between Johnny Cash and Jeff Buckley."

Anna Sacks moved to Wisconsin from California to work on the Holiday Music Motel with pat mAcdonald and Jackson Browne. She dove into the art of songwriting with no training or previous experience and took to it like a songbird to a song. She has written with members of Parliament Funkadelic, pat mAcdonald, Eric McFadden, Chris Aaron, and of course Adam Mackintosh. She also happens to be a sultry, smoky and captivating performer with a range reminiscent of pop icons Jennifer Charles and Hope Sandoval.

This concert is sponsored by Door County Memorial Hospital/Ministry Health, Ladder House, Golden Living Center and "The Art of Music" National Tours.

Tickets are $10 at the door. Concert menu available with fine wine, specialty beers and desserts. For more information, please call 920.493.5979 or The Outpost gallery and cafe at 920.868.4321.
