The Big Plant Comes to Baileys Harbor

The Big Plant, a part of this year’s Earth Day celebration organized by the Door County Climate Change Coalition, will offer free trees to families Saturday, May 8, from 10 am – 2 pm behind the Baileys Harbor Town Hall. 

Up to two trees per family will be given away.  Recipients can choose Balsam fir, Red Pine, White Pine and Cedar starter trees. Planting and care instructions will be included. 

Additional trees have been offered to the Town and will be planted at School Park, the Toft House and the cemetery. Francha Barnard and Jeff Lutsey of the Coalition and Baileys Harbor Community Association head up this project.
