Customers can now enjoy drinks in the fresh air at the Sister Bay Bowl’s outdoor seating area and bar, The Alley.

“Outdoor dining is a new trend and I think that’s what visitors are looking for and businesses are providing,” said Rachel Willems, granddaughter of Sister Bay Bowl founder. “The Bowl was excited to revamp a space that was already existing and make it more appealing. What’s better than a cold cocktail outdoors?”

The Alley located on the north side of the building faces State Highway 42. It opened on Friday, July 6 for drinks and will be open every day throughout the season. Live music will be featured on some nights.

“It’s really new for all of us, so we want to do it – and want to do it well,” Willems said. “We’re not biting off more than we can chew.”

The Alley is currently open from 4 pm until 11 pm for drinks, but employee Penny Anschutz said they plan to serve food outside by early August and will then open at 11 am. The outdoor menu will be the restaurant’s lunch menu with more salad and wrap options.
