The Clearing Announces 2021-22 Winter Classes

Stay active and social this winter by learning something new or revisiting a favorite pastime during The Clearing Folk School’s winter classes. Join friends and neighbors snowshoeing, painting, woodturning, forging (blacksmithing), wine tasting, knitting, quilting or discussing literature and other intriguing subjects.

More than 40 classes are offered Jan. 5 through March 1, 2022, in the arts, fine crafts, humanities and nature studies. In addition to a good variety of classes, the Winter Program represents something unique and wonderful about Door County – an amazing group of volunteer instructors who generously share their time, along with their considerable talent, for the benefit of the community.

All class details and descriptions are published online at theclearing.org –  catalogs are not available this year. Registrations are accepted online (preferred method), in person or via U.S. mail starting Dec. 8. Classes are filled on a first come, first registered basis, as space permits.

The Jens Jensen Visitor Center Bookstore and Gift Shop, 12171 Garrett Bay Road, Ellison Bay, is open during regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 8 am – 4 pm. The Visitor Center will be closed Dec. 23, 24, 30 and 31. For more information, call The Clearing at 920.854.4088.
