The Clearing Continues Annual Christmas Open House Tradition

The Clearing Folk School in Ellison Bay will be hosting a special holiday tradition, The Clearing’s Annual Christmas Open House, from 10 am – 4 pm Thursday and Friday, December 3 and 4.

The beautifully decorated Christmas forest in the Jens Jensen Visitor Center (12171 Garrett Bay Road, Ellison Bay) will be a highlight, and guests can enjoy homemade treats and mulled cider. Everyone is encouraged to take advantage of the Snowflake Sale in the Bookstore and Gift Shop (draw a discount snowflake at time of check out), as well as register for door prize drawings (need not be present to win).

In addition to enjoying The Clearing’s distinctive atmosphere and delicious treats, the open house is a perfect time to register for The Clearing’s Winter Program classes. Registration is now open for The Clearing Folk School’s Winter Program classes, which start Monday, January 4 and end Friday, February 26. Over 100 day-classes are offered this year.

Classes are published online at http://www.theclearing.org or catalogs are available at the Jens Jensen Visitor Center during business hours of Monday through Friday from 8 am – 4 pm. Registrations are only accepted in-person or through the mail prior to December 8. The deadline to be included in the lottery for over-enrolled classes is December 8 (see catalog or online information for detailed lottery information). Phone registration is available after December 8, and classes will be filled on a first come, first registered basis, as space permits.
